Got ChatGPT Go free for a year? Find the day it ends, set a reminder, and cancel in time if you don't want to pay ₹399 a month.
When does your free ChatGPT Go year end?
The free year lasts 12 months from the day you claimed it, so it ends on a date between 4 Nov 2026 and 21 Jan 2027. After that, ₹399 a month is charged to your card or UPI unless you cancel.

The reminder is for 2 days before your free year ends. Google Calendar opens with the details filled in. Nothing is saved until you tap Save.
How to stop the ₹399 charge
Cancel in the same place where you signed up. The website, iPhone and Android each have their own subscription.

- Paid with UPI?After cancelling, open your UPI app’s AutoPay section and check that the OpenAI AutoPay shows as cancelled.
News reports do not agree. One (Business Today) says cancelling early ends your free months at once. Another (MyMobileIndia) says they end when the current 30-day period ends. So cancel a few days before your renewal date, not weeks before. Sources: report 1, report 2.
